York Region tries to take over Thornhill Green Co-op

Join us at a rally to fight the sale of the Thornhill Green Co-op by York Region to its housing company, Housing York Inc. Let's show York Region politicians that we're willing to fight for the co-op housing way of life!

When: Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 7:00 p.m.
Where: Holy Trinity Church Thornhill
140 Brooke Street, Thornhill

Catch a free bus from downtown Toronto. The bus will leave Bleecker Street Co-op at 5:30 p.m. It will leave Windmill Line Co-op at 5:45 p.m.

CHFT invites you to a meeting to find out about a community mosaic art project in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood
When: Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
Where: OWN Housing Co-operative
115 The Esplanade in the meeting room

Come and find out about

  • mosaic, an art form that is affordable, simple and accessible for all ages and abilities
  • how co-op members can get involved the two working artists who will be lead the project
  • what will happen to the finished mosaic.
