Governments may not provide much assistance to
build new co-op homes. But people are still working to develop new
units and create dynamic self-managed communities.
Sometimes this means creative use of existing
space that co-ops. Sometimes it means converting existing rental
housing into co-ops.
It always means that more people have affordable
homes where they democratically make the decisions about their housing.
